Hello, I am Joyce Hubbard, a.k.a. "Nurse Joyce". I am the school nurse and my nursing career spans a period of thirty-one years. As a school nurse, I provide the following services: health maintenance and monitoring, health promotion and education, emergency preparedness training (CPR / AED), health screenings, and community outreach. The mission of school health services is to serve the diverse needs of a multicultural community by empowering children and parents with the knowledge necessary to promote wellness and maintain healthy lifestyles; therefore preparing students for a successful academic and life experience. I am a graduate of Texas Woman's University in Denton, Texas. In addition to school nursing, my nursing experiences include surgical ICU, psychiatry, and renal transplant / dialysis.

When I am "off duty", I love to spend time with my family. I enjoy sports, traveling, and writing. I am looking forward to serving the students of Hooks ISD and having a safe and healthy school year.
