DRUM MAJOR AND GUARD TRYOUTS |
Tryouts for the 2008 colorguard and drum major will be April 8th. There will be an information meeting for students and parents the Monday after Spring break (March 24) at 5:00. The drum major candidates will meet first at 5:00 and the guard applicants at 5:15. Parents are ask to be there to get the information on money and tryout rules. Guard tryouts are open to anyone in grades 8-11. Students must be eligible on the date of the tryouts (April 8) and those making the line must maintain eligibility for the remainder of the year. |

UIL Contest |
The HS band did a great job at the UIL contest on March 13. The band received ratings of 1,2,2 in the concert portion for a composite score of 2. In sight-reading they received 1's. This makes the 5th or 6th year in a row that the band has made straight 1's in sight-reading. |
