Connie Harpold
Our children are our future!
Hi! My name is Connie Harpold and this is my sixth year to teach at Hooks Elementary. I taught seven years in second grade in Arkansas before moving back to Hooks, which is my hometown. I graduated from Hooks High School. I then attained my teaching degree at East Texas State University in Texarkana. I feel I am doing just what I was meant to do- teach! I truly love my job. I always look forward to seeing how much my students grow and learn each year. If you ever have any questions or concerns, my conference time is 1:15-2:00. Call the school (903) 547-2291 or email me at Harpoldc@hooksisd.net and I will be happy to talk with you! Your child is special to me and I thank you for the opportunity to teach your child!
Homework
Your child will have homework Monday through Thursday. The homework can be found in your child's daily folder. Reading words and/or letters we are studying for the week will be stapled on the inside of your child's folder. Although we study these words and/or concepts daily at school, students need additional review at home. Reading books will be assigned for your child to read at home. Please check your child's folder daily for any homework and sign the homework sheet to verify that your child has completed the assignment. It is important that your child develops good homework skills early in his/her academic career. Thank you for your cooperation!
