Hello! My name is Cristi Davis and I can't wait to spend time with your child this year! Let me tell you a bit about myself. I was born in Ojai, California, but grew up in Longview, Texas. I married Michael Davis in 1989 and graduated from Abilene Christian University in 1990. I taught school in Longview and Tyler for five years then stayed at home for nine years and had two incredible boys. When my youngest child went to school, so did I! This will be my fourth year to teach 4th grade reading at Hooks Elementary and I love it! I will strive to be one of the best teachers your child has ever had! I hope you encourage your child to strive to be one of the best students I've ever had!

Reading is a key of life! If you can read this--- take a minute to say thanks for YOUR teachers. Just think what it would be like if you couldn't read a street sign, a menu, or an application. Devastating! You would definitely not be the person you are today!
I love reading! My enthusiam for reading comes out every day in my teaching! As a matter of fact sometimes the students end up thinking I'm a little nutty! Whatever works to keep their attention and share the excitement of learning! I hope a bit of that enthusiam rubs off on your child. I would love for your child to leave my classroom loving reading and having a yearn to learn! Even if reading is not your child's favorite thing, I bet if we work together we can improve tremendously! Let's get 'er done!
