I teach the 4th Grade English classes at Hooks Elementary. This will be my 19th year to teach, and it's my 11th year to teach 4th Grade Writing. In my classes, we learn to write. That means we also cover other areas such as grammar, spelling, and handwriting. I begin each year by letting the students know that they are all writers. Some just don't realize how great it feels to compose. They soon discover the power it brings to them. Writing...it both creates and releases memories. What a great thing to teach!
